Cig lighter/ashtray illumination
Can anybody verify for me please. The two reds/hots coming off of each of those. They run to the 4-pin connector. What color wire is running off the harness to those two red leads? My harness was all jacked up from previous owner radio install. I have a black wire coming off of the pin that goes to those hot leads but it’s cut. There isn’t a black wire like it that’s cut anywhere else?

In 1993 (which may or may not help you; you don't give a year) the 4 pin connector to the cigarette lighter (C3) has G to Lighting, W-G to the Rheostat, then to Ground, GR-R to the integration relay then to Cigarette fuse, and W-B to ground.
Rather than looking for a wire of a certain color, you might be better off looking for a connection to the correct function: Lighting, Rheostat, Cigarette fuse, and ground. |

I don't know. The EWD doesn't show the wire color from the connector to the lamp, just from the harness to the connector.
Engineer or not, I think you're going to have figure out what those red wires are, and what feed they need. |
When I added the cig light and ashtray light in my 91 that was not hacked by PO I did not have an existing plug to fit, I ended up tapping into the lighting for my climate control. I also was looking at finding the column with the light but after not finding a plug for that anywhere I decided to deal with no light.
