Can't figure out how to replace headlamps... feel like an idiot

So I'm trying to swap out the sealed beams on my '92 pickup for H4s and put in a relay wiring system while I'm at it, but can't figure out how to get the headlamps out, or even access the back to put in the new harness...

The haynes manual was no help with getting the grill off. I could only seem to undo the pop-connectors at the top of the grill, but couldn't access the bottom ones. Without taking off the grill, I can't unscrew the headlamp brackets. Without being able to pull the headlamps, I can't get to the wiring harness in the back of them. Argh.

The washer fluid and airbox are in the way of getting to them from the back.

I feel like this should be super easy. What a I missing?

Thanks in advance.

pull out the washer fluid resevoir and the airbox...pop off the top of the girll, pull out the corner lights and wiggle your screw driver in there...that's how i got mine done...also make sure your new headlights seal good before putting em in, nothin worse then doing all that work to put in shty lights like i did

Yep, pull the stuff in back that is in the way. Then, there should be 4 screws on each headlight ring that hold the lamps in place. Remove those and pull the lamp out from the back. I can do my '85 with the grill in place, just use a long, thin bladed screwdriver to access the screws.

I take off my marker lights and twist my grill a little bit to jimmy the screwdriver through. I undo the top 2 screws on the light bracket, unplug the light, and bend the light frame to get it out.
Reverse for intallation.

It's a truck, it'll take it's beatings from our roads (or should I say obstical course) or from my screwdriver.
