can you put a 95 tranny in a 94?

Put a 1995 4Runner transmission in a 1994?
Is it possible? has anyone done this?
Mine is a 94 auto, 2wd, cruise control.....
I do not care if i have cruise control, I do not use it...

As long as the motors are the same i don't see why not. Find out what trans you have (should be on the door jam on the driver's side) and check what the donor trans is and match them up.

As long as the 95 is 2wd, the transmission should be able to go into your 94 2wd.

Just find the same model and optioned 4runner but a 95, it will fit..

Yes just as long as the tranny numbers are the same.

I would like to take a moment to thank you wonderful people who posted with answers to my question!!!! I now have an up and running yodder again. I found a 95 transmission for $200, it has been installed and runs like a champ, for how well a stock 4runner can run with 200K miles!!!!
Again THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
