Thing is someone might just want that Truck even at that price.

It could be a Estate sale kids trying to get every cent they can.

I can never figure why do they never show any Good pictures of the important areas .

For that much money they should have at least a Manchester warranty

akwheeler 06-21-2017 06:47 AM

What is a "Manchester warranty"? is that like the Michigan 50/50 warranty? If it breaks in half you get to keep both halves?

dropzone 06-21-2017 08:04 AM

that thing is leaking like the Exxon Valdez

I think that is just an HEAVY hand of fluid film... I hope anyway.

Something along those lines The warranty expires when the front tire hits a Manchester Street.

For those that don`t know Manchester is not far from Greater Boston Area

akwheeler 06-21-2017 11:56 AM

I really don't understand why someone would put so much into making a pretty truck, try to sell it for 4 times what it's worth and to top it all off, post pictures of the bottom dripping with oil. Maybe they are claiming it's self lubricating and rust proof.

I'm from MA originally and I'm actually pretty sure there is absolutely NO lemon law in NH so that is an accurate description.

Aside from the oil- given the condition mileage and that it is a turbo truck, I'd say 20k would be the absolute top end. But 35k is just ridiculous....

akwheeler 06-21-2017 12:03 PM

Even if he was asking 20K, I'd still tell him to put down the crack pipe, it's time for an intervention.

muddpigg 06-21-2017 12:43 PM

Or is it??? "Babe, I'm seriously trying to sale my truck!!"

dropzone 06-21-2017 01:05 PM

seller has yet to respond to my ebay message regarding the oil and clumps of crap under. WTF is that on the springs and the right passenger steering stop was clearly hammered recently. as in hard curb shot.

It is one of the cheaper vehicles Ron is offering.

Well reviewed on Yelp, Facebook, and Google, if you believe that sort of thing.

wonderhat 06-21-2017 01:23 PM

Wow -- that line up from ron is wild.

highonpottery 06-21-2017 04:19 PM

That's crazy talk.
Someone can have at my truck for only $10k, lol.

bootscootboogie 06-21-2017 06:28 PM

Am I the only one that thinks the turbo trucks are junk? I've read far too many accounts that they're finicky, the parts are hard to come by, and that they don't really make much power without slapping on the Supra turbo.... To each his own, but I'll take my 35K that I don't have elsewhere

jwemmet3 06-21-2017 07:59 PM

But seriously. That's just shameful.

I had an 87 xcab 4x4 5spd with the turbo. I thought it was a fantastic truck. I only let it go because it got totaled in a parking lot and I was young and dumb and needed the $ badly. Didn't even know you could buy back your vehicle back then from insurance back then, had I known this I'd likely still own it.
Definitely had more power, most noticeable on the highway, like when passing other vehicles or climbing a grade heading into the mountains. It was pretty low boost and could likely be pushed further, but that would go against Toyota's thought process on making things reliable before powerful.
The interior was quite nice -- had power locks and windows and the most comfortable fully adjustable factory bucket seats I've ever sat on in any Toyota (I still miss the adjustable head rest). Also it didn't have that weird digital gauge cluster I see lots of the Turbo trucks with, mine was normal looking like the $35k truck.
Other than that it was the same fantastic Toyota pickup platform everyone here loves

To me that looks like a ton of fluid film, not motor oil. If that is the case, it should have a solid frame outside AND inside, as fluid film kits provide long flexible wands with 360 degree sprayers for inside the frame.
