brake master cylinder float issue?
ok so my new hilux surf.. brake light on the dash comes on.. not low on fluid but when i un-plug the sensor light goes off.. this master looks the same as my 4runner but has a float in the top not the sensor thats on my canadian runers..
does anyone know what truck this is off?? can i clean the float?? just leave it unplugged?? i know this is it cause the light goes off but will go back on when its unplugged but i pull the ebrake. heres a bad pics its in the upper http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e...f/P1010129.jpg :guitar: |
try removing the screen in there and see if that helps
my 91 PU did the same thing when I first got it; it drove me nuts. the fluid was at perfect level and the parking-brake was releases, and the light was still on. I thought maybe the float was getting cought on that screen for some reason, so I removed it and havn't had problems since. just make sure you don't put sand into yer brak fluid resevour later on since you wont have the filter there N E more :hillbill: so is it hard to find parts for that thing in the states? |

im in canada..not that hard to find parts..oil filters from toyota and any other parts for the engine i can order from b.c or edmonton... everythng else on the truck is the same as a runner |
