Brake issues
 

Hi... I joined today because I'm having some issues I've never dealt with before. I have a 1994 Toyota Hilux with a 3 inch suspension lift on 33s. It's evergreen pearl in color. Now about a month ago I had a caliper lock up. Of course I replaced it to have the sane issue. I've put calipers on both front sides twice and they're still sticking. If I jack it up after driving it you can hardly move either wheel on the front, but if you break the bleeder valve loose on one side both will free up. I just ordered a master cylinder, but have never had any issues like this with a master cylinder. Could that be my issue, and if it isn't what else could it be?? It also has new lines and hoses all the way around. I really need some help here. Could it be a break booster?? Idk it matters, but it doesn't have abs and was built in Long Beach, California.

Rod in brake booster may be adjusted too long, so that master cylinder cannot return to bleed-off position.

I had the master cylinder get stuck in a 4Runner once, and it was similar to your problem. If cracking the bleeder frees both calipers, then the problem not in the calipers. I agree the rod in the booster could be a problem, but if has not been adjusted recently then it is probably the master cylinder itself. Make sure the rod is adjusted properly when you install the new master cylinder, and that should cover both of the most likely problems.
