if it has a 4 hole mount, it will work. I agree it's a good idea to stay away from the 1 1/16" MC, the pedal is just way too hard

I did bench bleed the MC when I first installed it a few months ago, I didn’t remove it or let the fluid level drop this weekend when I put the new calipers on the front...Prior to this weekend my pedal was decent, not great but nowhere near as bad as it is now...

The remanufactured stock size master might have failed from all of the bleed pumping we did, I’m not sure but I’m willing to try swapping it out for a 1" bore, everything I read sounds like it should do the trick for me, we will see since I just ordered one of the Autozone M52530 Fenco masters!

Im hoping I can use my stock cap with it, if not Im sure I can just splice the wires for the fluid level light, it’s nice that it came with a new reservoir and cap, the el cheapo that is in there now didn’t! Ill post back with the results as soon as I get it in my hands, get it bench bled, swapped in and re-bleed the entire system... again

Well, AutoZone got the master in today but it did not have the reservoir or cap so they called another store that had one in stock and had them check theirs, it did in fact have the cap and res. so they are sending it out today for tomorrow pickup... It seems like every time I use AutoZone or Advance there is an issue with part quality or availability! Anyway, I’ll follow up once I get it in my hands and installed! The part that came in was an Aisin master that looked good and was a 1" bore with a bench bleed kit in the box, my guess is someone bought it and took the res and cap and took it back because the bag it was in had been ripped open inside the box...

I have that same one from autozone, no problems with mine, but the pedal was definitely harder with the single diaphragm booster, had to switch mine to the dual, but I still have the 4cyl calipers on mine.

The low level light will need a different connector which you can get one from a yard and splice in to the original wiring for the low level sensor.

I am currently running with mine just disconnected.

Brake issue

Hi, I was reading your soft pedal brake issue thread and was wondering if you found a fix? I have the same issue with soft pedal after replacing everything other than the booster.

before I did the 1 inch MC from trial-gear my old (original) one messed up. the pedal went to floor while driving in town still stopped just didn't hold enough pressure to fully stop it so got the new one and installed it since then the pedal is like a rock. the truck stops but I damn near got to stand on the brakes to stop it. what can be the cause of it I let it gravity bleed and bleed it regularly after that could it be the brake booster is bad???? I want to get it back on the road tired of it sitting around I got to much money and time in it to just sit around. it has 36 inch tires but the 35s I did have on it stopped perfectly fine. I think my booster is bad but im not 100 percent on that???? any ideas

What size was the previous master cylinder? Increasing the MC diameter will increase the required pedal effort, all else being the same.

(RJR) im not sure what size the original one was all I know is the upgraded one is 1inch and not even a month old installed onto my truck and drove it maybe twice cause my starter went out and is sitting there right now. I am in the military and I did this on my Christmas leave time now im back in California till Feb 27th then ill be back home for a bit I just want to get it fixed. so I dont see why it is the MC. I do have a carb on my 4.3chevy. could it also be a vacuum issue??? maybe. prior to all this the old MC did work till it decided to go bad on me.
