blown head opinions
i have an 87 toyota 4runner tht i blew a head gasket on due to a blown coolant hose. After taking the head to my school and having it hot tanked i found a crack between the exhaust valve and intake valve on cyl #2 or 3 dont have it next to me.
so i havent checked the deck yet, but im in need of some opinions on what to do but keep this in mind im a poor college student. if my block is good im thinking about putting a new head on and if its bad im thinking about finding a real cheap engine or going to a local pick-n-pull and taking the whole engine out of a toyota. |
Weld it up file it back down flat and let it eat.

Oh, and depending on how many miles are on it, you might also consider new rings. |

Go buy a runner that's wrecked or is parting out and swap motors...
But it's best since the engine is already out to do PM that might otherwise be hard once it's in the bay... |
