Best clutch for a 1987 22re 4x4 pickup

Hi,

I've tried the search function and looked at the FAQ but could not find any information on what clutches are better and which ones to avoid.

I've found kits in the range from $80 (local auto parts shop) to $200 online.

Any recommendations on what not to get would be great,

Thank you!

Most people here recommend any Aisin clutch. I just bought an Aisin heavy duty clutch from Marlin Crawler. In the process of installing it right now.

Of course not a minute after I post this thread I noticed your thread on the same topic two posts under mine! Thanks for your reply though.

Aisin or Daiken (might be the same manufacturer actually, can't really keep them straight...)

Daiken is a different manufacturer, but I haven't heard any bad things about them.

Aisin. All the way. I am a fan.

Marlin sells aisin discs with daiken pressure plates if you go heavy duty.
