Battery sits too low
Recently I've been having problems with my battery sliding around and disconnecting the fusible link that leads from the battery to the fuse box. My battery can't touch the mount because it sits too low. Is there some spacers that gop below the battery. Mine just goes battery then tray. Can't figure this out. Also what size is the fusible link mine is pretty beat up.

For my optima red top I have to use the spacer that comes with it. If I were you I would go to your local parts store and see if they have an extra one. Not all trucks need a spare so I am sure it's a dime a dozen for them. They would just give it to you for free.

If your battery is the correct size, sometime in the murky past you might have had some front-end sheet metal damage, so that the apron (the sheet metal between the engine compartment and the wheel well, which includes where the tray sits) is bent.
I use some 1/8" plywood ("paneling") as shims under the hold-down.

Its a parts plus 65 series. Son't know anything about the brand. Was put in by PO. I'll call some stores see if they can't get me some height adjusters.

Or if your battery is old and nasty might just get the correct one and not rig it to fit. But if it is new rig it till the next time just try not to make it permanent.
