bad cam scoring under oil journals??? DO NOT BUY ENGINES FROM MOTORTIME!!!
so I went to replace my 3vze head gasket on a rebuilt motor ( from MOTORTIME) with only 630miles on it...and for starters...the head bolts where mismatched, and even looked like maybe they just cleaned them and painted the heads of the blot to make them look new when installed. the bolts that held the cams on were mismatched, some even with different head sizes. there where empty bolt holes on the heads where my manual say the only two 6 point head bolts are supposed to be.
but...when removing the cams to get to the heads off, if found deep scratched out scoring under the bearing like caps where the oil holes are on the cams. its mostly on just the right cam...but now i dont trust the rod bearings or what anything may look like under there.
has anyone seen this before, and what is it from?

and has anyone ever heard of not using those outside 6 point head bolts...my manual says they are all 12 point except those two (one per head, on the ends). they did seem like more of line ups, but i did find it weird they where missing.
