Anyone reuse thier clutch?
I am wondering if I should reuse my clutch or change it while I have the engine out. It looks to have alot of life left to it and I always like the stock clutch over aftermarket on these trucks. Also which way does the clutch plate face?

it's hard to say. if it's got a bunch of life left on it, I'd re-use it. I've re-used a couple clutches on my old subarus...
IMHO, clutches are expensive....I'd rather do some extra work to get my $$s worth out of the one I have. but it's up to you. if you want to prolong the job as long as possible, buy a new one and replace it now....

I re-used mine too. However it did only have a couple thousand miles on it too. The guy that owned it before me put a new clutch in it and then a few months down the road, the motor spun a bearing.
But if it's got a bunch of miles on it then I'd go ahead and replace it. You will kick yourself if you're lying under there in 6 mos doing the clutch when you could have done it sittin on a stool.

i bought a lifetime warrantied clutch if i pull the tranny it goes back.... also having your flywheel resurfaced with a new clutch will help it last longer and will help cut down on that annoying chatter.
