my door tag says 5080 in my 88 runner. my guess considering all the extra stuff on them like the top and glass and seats that its just alittle over a few hundred pounds...if not less.

You know a 5vzfe generates 190 hp without any modifications, with factory mods for around $2k in parts makes 290hp and burns 91 oct@14mpg and is basically the same motor as the 3vze so upgrading is too not difficult if your handy with wires, and power hungry.
FYI: the lower crank bearing cap cage cracks to hell on the 3.0s when you tweak them for HP
personally , I drive yotas because they can crawl to places I can barely hike to and I have never had an issue with horse power when all four wheels are turning and im going nowhere while the truck jumps around allover the place clawing on those loose rocks, seems like traction is the bigger problem to me, thinking about adding a dual rear end to one of my trucks from a Toyota dolphin RV to see what happens
