AISIN HUB "springs and pawl" PARTS No. ??????

After successfully rebuilding the right AISIN hub the day before, yesterday I dissassembled the left hub on my '94 Toyota Pickup to find both CONNECTING and CLUTCH SPRING to be missing. In its stead, there's a pretty crude makeshift clutch spring shoved into the clutch, and the pawl is pretty bent also.

Already searched the forums, but unless I'm missing something, couldn't find parts # for them:

Does anyone here know these parts' # and if so, could please share them? I'd appreciate it.

Read somewhere that dealerships sell the entire set as "Cover Sub-Assy, Free Wheel Hub", but that's like four parts in excess of what I actually need.

If that's the case, I'm taking the springs from the other hub to a machine shop and get some new springs fabbed.

THANKS!

The Toyota parts websites only show the "Cover Sub-assy" as a unit, not the individual parts, so I doubt you'll have much luck getting those parts separately. (which is probably why the PO did a makeshift job of making his own). The full sub assembly is over $200 on Toyotapartsoverstock.com, so a good machine shop may be your best alternative.

You can buy a full (single) Aisin locking hub assembly for about $80.00 on Rock Auto. I assume that's refurbished. Worst case you could go that route.

You won't find any part numbers but you can get any Aisin hub springs and pawl from the junkyard. Either Suzuki, Izuzu or Toyota. From what I understand the springs and pawl are all universal.

Thanks. Since there is definitely no junkyard near where I live, it's gonna be the machine shop option the way to go.

If you can wait a day or 2 I can go dig one out from my stash. I have a old set of Isuzu hubs I can pull from.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

But since I live in Mexico, I'm guessing it's more practical for me to salvage those parts from a junkyard truck down here, or to get a machine shop to fab those springs.

While searching for these same parts I came across this. Anyone ever find these parts separate? I need the clutch spring, connecting spring and pawl.

A guy guy at work was gonna sell me a set of hubs for $50 but then we discovered that those were missing on one plus all the bolts that hold the face unit to the hub. He just gave them to me and if I can get the stuff cheap enough I’ll give him something. Anyone know the length of the bolts to hold the face plate to the hub?

Buy a hub off Rock Auto. They're like $80.00 a side.

if i have to I will buy one but I’d really like to save a few bucks and make the one I have work. If anyone has a used hub though hit me up. I’ve called around and it looks like I will probably have to buy one.
