Red face

If your working on these older trucks you should invest in the Irwin Bolt extractor sockets.

well worth the investment.

If you just put it in you should not break it.:jessica::jessica:

I use PB Blaster on frozen fasteners. The stuff is incredible.

I can't use a socket wrench on it. It won't grap it it'll just rub off the edges the guy looked like he rubbed them off an the bolts took a beating.

Try taking a 3/8 drive extension or a brass drift and put one end on the bolt head, and hit the other end with a hammer. Sometimes the shock will break things up and make it easier to take off with a socket. There have been times where I really had to crank on these things.

Just last week I pulle some Aisin hubs at the u-pull it for one of my students 4runners, and it took quite a bit if force to get them moving.

Good luck.

Since they're metric, maybe you can find a standard sized socket that might fit tighter, the thing I don't understand is why you would use a worn out bolt in the first place?
New bolts are cheap.
