air box battery swap done, thanks folks
I got my air box and battery swap done today. Need to say thanks to all of you that have already done it for all the information ya'll posted. It went off without a hitch. Right now it's pulling air out of the engine compartment but that'll be fixed this weekend (I hope) when I get the snorkel installed. All I need is one more part for the snork and then I get to cut some holes in the fender and plumb it in. Oh and the Red Top looks damn good in there.
Thanks for all the help.

I like that unless you know what you're looking at it all looks stock, well except for the battery.

BTW ORS makes a weld in battery tray for relocating the battery to that side, about $20. Its about half way down this page:

Here's a pic of mine going in:
It is easier to put in with the engine out hehe.

There's another thread on this. In short, it's a converter that allows you to ditch the clunky yota VAFM and replace it with a more modern and much better flowing 3" GM MAF. I made a prototype and put it on my truck. It knocked 2 seconds of the 0-60 time.

Interesting. I think my AFM may be getting ready to go Tango Uniform.
