aftermarket cam, valve adjustment?

aftermarket cam, valve adjustment?
I'm looking at buying an 86 4Runner 4x4 with 22RE and 5 spd. The previous owner installed an aftermarket cam when he had the motor rebuilt. I'm fine with that, but what do I do if/when the valves need adjustment? How would I find out the proper clearance specs? Of course the current owner does not know the make of the cam.

Before an adjustment, check and see what they are adjusted at. intake and exhaust hot. Then average them out.
LCE cams are adjusted to factory specs.
Enbldr is .007/.009
Comp cams and many others are listed on their sites.

I have Delta can just set to factory spec. If its not making noise at factory I don't worry about it. More importantly advance your timing if you want to gain benefit from the can!
I'm 22r with 260 at 12 deg works great!
