ADD Relay

Finaly I've figured out my 4wd issue, The ADD relay was pooched.... but there was a fuel pump relay in place. I went to the dealership and they quoted me $180CDN for the relay, but the lady told me that the fuel pump relay number was really close and may be the same and was only $30.

I went in to talk to a tech and he had no clue and basicly told me to try it and see if it works.

Anyone know if the fuel pump relay is the same? has the same switches and terminals?

if it fits you should be good to go.
thats how i tested my old ignition relay, swap it with others in relay panel.

Im wondering though if the poles are all the same? and the internal switches. Just because it fits doesn't mean it always works, look at spdt relays and dpdt relays.

The ADD relay switches the output from one terminal to the other when power is applied, to switch off one vacuum valve and switch on the other. According to the manual terminals 2 and 6 are for the coil. Terminal 1 is the main power input, and 4 and 3 are the outputs. With no power on the coil 1 and 3 are connected, with power applied 1 and 4 are connected.
If the fuel pump relay matches that it should work.
