anyway Hydralic oil that is to cold will be stiff and shift harshly. the hydralic oil isnt in the transmission to be a lubricant but it is a secondary perpose and does perform that function to many parts. if kept below a 170 degrees your transmission bearings and other parts that need lubricant such as pump and other things will wear early.

this was covered earlier. 170 degrees is the tempature that oils perform best at and below which you get 80% or more of the wear and tear on your drivetrain.

So the faster you can get your Drivetrain up to 170 degrees and maintain a median tempature of about 180degrees the less where and longer oil life you will have.
