95 Yota 4WD Brake Caliper Parts Number Check

I overhauled my RF Brake caliper last year. I guess i did not do a good job cuz it's hanging up again on inboard side. I want to order a re-man caliper for right front. There seems to be confusion on the parts numbers. My original one is a S13W and a ending digit i can't read, maybe a B or a 8?. When i try to order they saying 0713S is for Driver side and 0714S for passenger side. So i don't know what is going on with the numbers, and don't know what to order? I bought one online earlier that looked correct. It will not fit over my rotor, and looks a little different than mine. Number is SW12. I don't know what this one fits. They sold it saying fits all 94 4WD Pickups. Is a remanufactured from ebay seller, not a brake person. Looks new and was a good price, but won't fit. Anyone need it let me know before i ship it back. Please advise. Thank you.

ok

It looks like this SW12 caliper i got was for a 4Runner V-6 if my research is correct. It is a new re-man if anyone wants it before i ship it back? I paid $56 with free shipping, maybe this was not a good deal. Well it didn't fit so it was a bad deal. They sellers listing said fits all 94 Toyota 4WD Pickups. I will get the right one now. No need to reply. Thank you.

This site says the part number for the RH Caliper for a 4wd 4runner (any 4wd Toyota pickup/4runner 1988-1995) is 47730-35080. For 2wd it's 47730-35090. So a part that fits all 94 Toyota 4WD Pickups should fit yours.

There are very few parts (in my experience) that have the Toyota part number imprinted anywhere on the part. What you're reading could be just a casting number, and probably has nothing to do with the part number.

You said that the caliper wouldn't fit over the rotor. Any chance you haven't sufficiently retracted the pads?

Smile Caliper SW12

My caliper has SW13 on the casting. This one is SW12 and is a smaller version than my original one. The cut outs that fit over the rotor, even with no pads installed, will not fit over my Rotor. The Pistons are smaller than mine also, I got the right one from Advance Auto Parts my local Store. It is a reman for $48. The part number is # SLC8464. I wish i would have checked their price before buying online. It is a better deal. The seller of the other is taking it back, so no problem and he sent me a return shipping label. Those part numbers can be looked up SW12, and SW13. Simply the SW13 is larger. Thank you for your reply. Happy Thanksgiving

Caliper still won't fit

I went to pick up a RF Caliper at Advance Auto today. I matched it up with my original RF Caliper. It does not match up with mine. The cut outs for the rotor are too small, same as the one i bought online. The pistons are smaller than mine, same as the one i bought online. What is going on? I know it is the right parts number for a 94 Yota Pickup 4X4 Deluxe with V-6 Engine. I bought new rotors and pads online bout 2 yrs ago. They were bought for 94 Yota Truck 4X4 Deluxe V-6, and they fit just fine. I don't want to buy smaller rotors and pads, to make these other calipers fit. I am going to check out a Tacoma Caliper tomorrow at Advance to see if it matches up with mine. Anyone have any idea why my Calipers and rotors are bigger than the ones that are listed for a 94 Yota Deluxe V-6 please advise? Thank you. I have the worst luck! bad luck247.

I found the problem

I don't think you guys would have replied about this anyway, but i am glad i found the answer. I have no idea how, or why my 94 Yota Deluxe has T-100 Calipers and Rotors on it, but it does. The parts store said " Maybe you have a Tacoma " and um no i do not. These are the original Calipers on this Truck. I did purchase Rotors and Pads for it bout 2 years ago. How i got the right rotors and pads i have no idea since i ordered for what it is 94 yota deluxe 3.0 4X4. The bigger Rotors and calipers are on the 90-95 4Runners also. Why did mine come from the factory with T-100 Calipers and Rotors? No one can answer that. It was not upgraded as I bought it from my neighbor. He was the original owner, and he did not ever upgrade the Brakes to bigger ones. He has no knowledge of such things. He is a Computer Tech, and does not " Scrounge " around on Junk like me. He has a education unlike me, and does not have to " Scrounge " Thanks for all your help. lol.

Did you ever get a Toyota part number? (lots of eBay listings cross-reference that).

It looks like the part number for a 1994 T100 caliper is 47730-35090 and 47750-35090. And no, they don't fit a 4runner (at least "fitment" claims they don't; with a big enough hammer anything can fit).
