Talking 95 Brembos - steering stabilizer - bilstien shocks

Three questions:

1.) Where can I purchase brembo front rotors and possibly pads for a 95 4Runner? Is there a rear disc conversion for that year runner, or is it even worth it?

2.) Where can I purchase a steering stabilizer for a 95 4runner?
(running 33x12.5 tires)

3.) If I have a 4" superlift, what size or part # bilstien shocks could I replace the mushy superlift shocks with? I love bilstiens...

Thanks for anyone who helps me with any of those

I found one stabilizer at SummitRacing.com for $51.xx it looks pretty generic, is there a better one out there for a 95 runner?

here is the link, this says its for stock suspension but does a 4" superlift make this not work?

I got mine from TaylorAutomotive:

http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com...art=Brake+Disc

They shipped quick and were very easy to deal with.

Got my steering stabilizer from NAPA after trying to get one from Rancho. After three phone calls and a lot of leg work, I still don't know if they make one for the 2nd ge 4Runner.

All write-ups I've seen about doing a rear conversion to disk brakes have been pretty labor and $$ intensive. I won't be doing it unless I break the axle, in which case I'd get a "floating rear axle" from that guy in CO (can't remember the details right now, and the coffee hasn't kicked in enough for me to search).

Ive had excellent experienec with bilstiens in the past. Thanks for the brembo link! I AM ordering today!

OH the brembos look like regular rotors, no slots of vents, do they still perform better?

Yeah, after reading through mega "rotor" posts, I decided to go with the solid rotors. Brembo does make a slotted rotor, but in the end I was more concerned with getting debris and rocks caught in the slots than I was with the marginal peformance gain you might notice from having slotted rotors.

If I dont offroad often should I go with slotted / drilled or does it not make that much diff? Im looking for MAX braking power on the street. Im going to take my truck in for a power bleed and adjust. The brakes are mush right now, im really concerned.

I 2nd call me jay on the steering stabilizer and ask on shocks to go with the superlift. You could just stick with the bils, but I don't know from where. Check here for the rear disc http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/

I got a skyjacker stabilizer from summit. It is very good and I have no complaints about. I had it installed in less than an hour and could not believe the difference it made.

I may be wrong on this but if you want to run a full size stabilizer you have to have a mounting kit also. Somebody please correct me on this if im wrong. The one I got came with everything. The part number is SJA-7186

here is a pic of it.

What is wrong with the superlift shocks? Are they shot or do you just not like the ride they give.

My ProComp stabilizer went right on, no kit. Even came with a new tapered drift to replace the stock one.

check your production date on your driver door....that'll tell you which you need. other than that I think it's just whether you have 16's or not

Don't bother with cross drilled or slotted rotors on a 4x4. Even high hp street sports car owners who know won't even waste their money on them. Yes, they can be beneficial, but only at extreme circumstances. They are just more prone to cracking and eat up your pads quicker. Most people who have them have them for looks and if it's not a full race car and they tell you they noticed a difference, it's because their brakes sucked to begin with and are now back to "factory" levels.
If you autocross, rally, or road race your Runner, go for it. Other wise leave them alone.

i ordered the brembos, it is $45 per rotor, total with (2) came out to $109.xx

I also found a place with bilstiens but they are pricey. A pair for front go for $140.xx, and I found the same for the rear for the same price.

Both part numbers are BE5-6582-H5 (front) BE5-6583-53 (rear), with a basic total of $300 shipped, something I gotts save for heh. I dont like how the superlift shocks ride on my 33x12.5 bfg muds and im thinking the bils could handle them better? am i mistaken?
