95 4Runner Wheel size?

All
I am parting out a 1995 rust free Arizona 4Runner after stripping off front clip parts to repair my collision damaged truck.
I noticed that the donor Runner has LT245/75 R16 inch sized tires on stamped steel wheels, where my Runner has 31x10.5x15 sized tires on Toyota alloy wheels.
Can anyone tell me if the larger tires and wheels were an option in 1995, or did someone sneak this one on?
The wheels and tires aren't for sale, but practically everything else is.

I believe someone stuck those wheels on from a 3rd gen runner or 1st gen Tacoma, the 16' was factory for those trucks.

I run Tacoma (also 4runner of those years) rims on my older trucks because I prefer both the narrower sizes and the ten ply tires that are more readily available on 16 inch rims. Bolt patterns and center holes are the same. I'm sure that is where those came from, to my knowledge they didn't offer it as a factory option in 95. I'm not sure exactly what year they started offering 16's on Tacoma/4runners, my 2000 came with aftermarket 15's on it when I bought it used, but I know it was an option for a while and then from I think 2001 (I know 2005+) they have larger brakes and 15 inch rims won't fit.

Do you have a picture of the wheel / tire?

According to the 1995 Toyota 4Runner Spec sheet on Import Archive, only 15" wheels were offered, but I do know Toyota sometimes deviated from their published spec sheets.

the Tacoma debuted in 95.5 so that's important to remember, is that also when the 3rd gen runner was released?

Those are stock Toyota wheels, but probably off of a newer Tacoma/4runner. Identical to wheels I am running on both my trucks and they came from newer Tacomas.
