94 truck will not crank after timing kit replaced

Guides broke and installed whole new kit from engnbldr. The gears are in correct and aligned right. Put on tdc and installed distributor at 12 o clock and it rotated perfect to# 1. Won't crank. We tested with timing light as we were trying and it all was in time and hitting good time. Not sure what to do now. We did not remove head or anything fuel relayed. Getting fire on all plugs. I do know that the alternator ground is not hooked up. What else do I do look to? It seems as if it is 180 out or something. Im baffled

Assume a 22RE engine?

When you say "won't crank", do you mean the starter is not running?
Or that it tries to run but can't turn the engine over?
Or is it turning over and not starting?

Hard to tell from the vague description of the problem.

yep...it fell back to 10 o clock position when put in at 12 o clock..and points to #1, but will not crank. it turns over and over, but will not crank up or remotely act like it wants to.

coil wire on?
plug wires correct?
check CSI as stated above?
gas in the tank? (i'm not being sarcastic....just make sure)

if you only did the front end, you should have only removed the 1 ground wire by the alternator....you already mentioned that.

EFI fuse?

crank is the same as turning over
fire is the same as start or spark

OK, good. After reading the thread title, I thought you found a crab under the hood or something.
