94 Toyota Pickup Clean up Nice

I bought my first Toyota Pickup in October 2016. I found it on Craigslist and followed it for about 2 weeks before I decided to buy it. It was a 4 hour drive to see it. It did not have a battery in it, so I was a little apprehensive of what it was going to be like. After the owner put a temporary battery in it and started it I drove it. Seemed ok! Check the water, no oil, checked the oil, no water, so I bought it. He did not want to sell it but his parents were making him sell it to pay off debts.
The owner did some 4 wheeling, so it was quite dirty inside and out. The trucks previous owner was the young mans father who took good care of it and was a mechanic.
I did lots and lots of washing and cleaning to get the way I wanted it.
I had a new radiator and muffler installed.
had a new Idle Arm and fuel filter installed.
Truck had 195,530 miles when I bought it.
The dash and headliner were in perfect shape. I have done small inexpensive improvements like buy and install the new map light from a 94 4 Runner. Having lots of fun making it look like new!!

Great looking truck you found. Welcome to Yotatech. There is plenty of information on here to help you get back into shape and some things cost very little to do.

I am retired and I just wanted some wheels to get around on that did not cost a lot to maintain and works good in snow and some ice.
I will be using it to pull my small Penguin sailboat to a lake about 15 minutes away, also to fly my RC gliders and planes.
It will also keep me occupied by doing small things that make it better.
