94' Pickup 3VZ-E 3.0 won't Start when Hot
Ok so I just picked up a 94' 3.0 Pickup. I fired it up after three months of sitting, I added fresh gas and finally got it running. It ran rough and I drove it about twenty miles home. Once I got it back I noticed that the engine will turn over all day, but no fire in the cylinders. So I searched and searched Yotatech website and, everything I try doesn't help. Plus now I can't even get it to start at all. The fuel pump comes on and.I.jumped the connection to.keep the pump on and I'm.now.guessing it's not getting spark for some.reason. Any ideas on what.could.be killing the spark to my.engine. Thanks

Good. A guess.
Use a timing light (first on the plug wires, then on the coil secondary) to see whether you are getting spark. (A timing light is $20, no excuse to not have one, you're going to need it to check/set the timing anyway.) If you have no spark, you can check the igniter. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...gniter-287857/

I feel like an idiot here, but I can't find a guide on how to check the codes on these. I've always had OBD-II in past cars I've worked on. I see references to paper clips and jumping, but I need more than that. Any helpful person want to post a link? I've searched as best I can. Thanks!
