94 4runner....need help/ advice

Hello all. I just bought 94 4runner with 190k but rebuilt @150k. The previous owner replaced almost everything. Engine, radiator, power steering pump, battery , ECU and a few more things. The issue I'm having is that it just dies unless I give it gas. It died on me twice while driving but restarted. I got it home and found 4 plug wires not snapped into to the distributor cap. I fixed that and it ran at idle for 10 minutes before I shut it off. I drove it today and it just dies and would not restart. At first when I got it home by tow, it started but would not stay on at idle. Now it won't start at all. Turns over but no start. Any ideas? I was thinking the old school alarm may have ignition kill, fuel pump or one of the many expensive sensors. Any help is appreciated.

It doesn't sound like a typical alarm function. If it won't start right now you need to do the first step. For one you say it doesn't start. Does it crank or no. Most aftermarket alarms prevent cranking. If it does you need to check for fuel and spark. Easiest place to start is by spray a little starting fluid in the intake and see if it fires. If it does it's something with the fuel delivery. If not, pull a plug wire and see if it sparks, just don't use the touch method.
