94 22re pick dies when idling down
 
so recently when ive been coming to a stop or putting the truck in neutral or coasting the truck will some times idle down and die . besides that the truck runs fine no other issues.just seems to happen when u come off the throttle the truck wants to die randomly. if anyone has any ideas on what the issue is that would be awesome im having a hard time trying to fix the truck and drive it to work every day .

What codes if any is it throwing? They wont always flash the CEL light. Jump the diagnostic port with a paper clip and count the flashes. If no codes then the next steps.
Have you done anything recently to the rig? Tune up, clean the intake or throttle body?
When was the last tuneup? And what brand parts?
More ideas but lets keep it simple to start with.

I doubt its tuneup related but its good to rule out.

. So I checked for codes this morning before work and got code 71 witch is egr gas temp low . There lots of new isn parts but prob could use a tube up to .

Lets start with getting that code fixed. Terry's87 has a good write up I believe on cleaning the EGR system.
If doing a tune up make sure you use Japanese parts, NGK, AISIN, Denso, etc. Bosch stuff doesn't always work well for some reason on older Japanese stuff.

What other stuff is done to the engine? The newish stuff.
