93 'peekup truck front gear change knowledge needed

Help, I'm about ready to tear into my front diff in my 93 pickup but can't find a differential kit in the BCA cattledog. It has 5.71's in front and 4.10's in the rear. I'm going back to the 4.10's. It looks to be a pretty simple swap but I want to know what parts I will need to replace(bearings, seals and shims).

Thanks,
Chip.

Ummm ... this is one of those "if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it" kinda questions.

Have you setup gears before?

Do you know if the bearings and such were replaced when the 5.71's were installed?

Wait a second you have 5.71's in your front diff and 4.10's in the rear and you've driven it this way?? Your best bet is to just replace the whole third member provided you still have an intact transfer case.

The front driveshaft has not been in the truck since the gears were changed in the rear. Yes, I've set up differentials before but I cannot find a differential baring, seal and shim kit like I have for the others I've set up. All I can find are an inner pinion bearing, and a differential bearing for a qty of two. Federal Mogul does not offer a differential kit for this truck so I am on here asking where to get a complete bearing and seal kit. Since I drive this truck every day (big ass 2wd right now) I don't have the luxury of taking it apart and letting it sit while I gather the parts up.
Thanks,
Chip.

Order a master install kit from Performance Offroad Center or 4WheelParts for the 7.5" Toyota IFS. It will have all the parts you need.

Actually, yes, you can take it apart while you gather parts up. The '93 has a full floating front end, so you can remove the CV's and the entire diff and drive the truck if you like.

It sounds like you may not be all that familiar with Toyota diffs. Check out www.gearinstalls.com for info on them.

Also, here is a link to the Factory Service Manual for your rig:

This is the information I was looking for. Thanks a bunch. I've set up 9 inch Fords and twelve bolts for hot rod car applications. Never been inside a Toyota case and assumed it was the same basic premise as all others.
Once again, Thanks for the help.
