'93 2L-TE overheating need HELP PLZ

Hi i have just gotten a '93 toyota surf ( don't know the diffs between the surf and the 4runner ) it has over heating problems. i live in Mozambique and it getts pretty hot here. can any1 give me any Suggestions would be great help.

Not too many people on here run the diesels as they weren't an option in the US. You might be better posting on here for help.

Did you check all the simple stuff? Radiator not dirty, full of fluid, t-stat not sticking etc?
