My Rear Abs light on the dash is on constantly. I pulled a code of 33 for this problem which tells me that there is a short in my Speed Sensor wires or the Speed sensor is bad. I think that I have only one speed sendor on my 1992 4runner 3.0L V6. Has any else had this problem? Before I pay $111 for a new Speed sensor I want to be fairly certain this is the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd check the local salvage yards before I put down $111 on anything like that. Probably would be super cheap and allow you to see if this clears your code and removes the ABS light.

For various reasons, I removed the speed sensor on top of my rear diff. With it just hanging back there, I got no ABS light. Maybe you could even try that and see what happens. Don't leave the axle open for contaminants and you of course will have no ABS during the test.

I always try to troubleshoot for free before buying to many parts.
