Hey guys, I've been searching on here for a few days trying to get my truck back in shape. It's a 1991 reg cab 2wd 22re real base model no power steering, a/c, tach, ect. Anyway I just did plugs distributor cap n rotor fuel filter valve adjustment and a few cosmetic junk yard parts. So what I'm wondering is what other things could I do for the 200,000 mile maintenance? I have a chk eng light for an o2 sensor which I haven't bought yet but do you think that's why my truck kinda surges / jumps under light acceleration in 2nd n 3rd gear? Thanks for any help

It's too easy to test that sensor, DO IT. DO IT NOW

It could be anything, clutch slip, VAFM, TPS, sticky injector, throttle body, emissions/EGR. Basicly what I'm saying is... What have you tested and eliminated??

LUBE and more LUBE. Grease the drive line and stearing. Check and or replace the diff and trans oils. Inspect and repack/replace the front rotor bearings. Inspect/replace the vac lines.

All of those are relativly cheap and easy to do.
