'91 4rnr v6 No title $500. Worth it?
http://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/919176129.html
'91 4Runner v6 rough body, but NO TITLE. Isn't it possible to get a "lost title" certificate or something? If so, is it hard to get? I wouldn't mind getting a 4runner for $500...and driving it until it dies:P or fixing it up a little and maybe replacing my truck with it..it is the 3.slo though.....but they aren't as bad as people say. Thanks oh thee wonderful and powerful and intelligent Yotatechees :king: |
It's not hard at all. Just have the seller go with you to the DMV, and have a bill of sale with you. I'd jump on it.........

Does anyone know if insurance will be a lot more if it has a lost title?

Check your abandonment laws. Get him to write you a bill of sale and try to claim it abandoned. It may take some time ansd resarch but you may be able to get a clean titlte.A wrecker service may help you out. I jut got a title on a 2004 conv. beetle. I was called to pick it up,found someone to help me go thru the process and 3 months later i gotta clean title. Its easy if you know the process. You laws should be on your state website and a few different choies about how to go about it.

Mkay. I'll do some research then. How is a bill of sale written? Is it an official document? or is it like a piece of printer paper saying " I so-and-so here upon sell my '91 Toyota 4runner to "my name" "?
|
You can either print a bill of sale paper from the DMV website, or just a piece of paper saying that bought said vehicle,(include make, model,VIN#, lic. plate,) from said person, for such-n-such amount, ect. You both sign it, date it.

Well thanks for all your help guys, but some one already bought it :hillbill: oh well. haha. I think getting a new title or "surety bond" was going to be way over my 18 year old head
