90 Pickup 4x4 auto swapping to manual

I know this exact thread is beat to death but I cannot seem to find this simple information. So I am looking at a new truck to kill some time with I've always been a fan of older toyotas. I have been looking for a decent 3.0 king cab 4x4 manual that's not priced out of this world. I have found a great deal on a 90 SR5 but it is an automatic. I'm looking at buying it and doing a manual swap. I have read all the threads about doing it and what I would need which basically points me to a manual donor truck. The information i can't seem to find is if there is a difference between the 2wd and 4wd manual transmission.

Red face

Yes the tail sections are different and also the transfer cases between auto and manual are different

To do this you need a complete 4x4 manual drive train .

Just curious why a 3.0 ??
