ive got a chance to possibly buy a 1990 4runner with a 3.0 and auto tranny , fairly straight body ( and a 2 door) , im hoping to pick it up fairly cheap, ive got a 1995 4runner (4 door) with a 3.0 and manual tranny , can i swap my motor and tranny and computer into the 1990 with out an major modifactions ?
the reason i want to swap it into it is becasue of the front end frame damage on my 4 runner. if i can get the guy to sell me the rolling chasis no motor or tranny for the price i want , i want to be able to make sure i can swap it in with no problems .

also , i want to swap my 4 inch superlift lift kit onto the 2 door , i will probably jsut swap front and rear axles from mine to it . was there any differences in the lift kits form those years ? and what about axle arrangments ?

the 2 door has something front wit hthe front end the guy is planning to fix then sell it , if i can buy it from him before he fixes it , and swap all my gear to it , id be very happy .

Sounds like you have a pretty good plan.

the lift should definately fit but im not sure about the engine. The tranny will fit as well.

You should have everything in the 95 to make the swap over work fine.

thanks guys , im hoping this guy with the 2 door calls me soon . i cant wait to find out how much he wants for it and if its in my price range. the only thing i dont like about the 2 door is the interior color is blue . my interior is grey , i might try and swap all the interior parts and pieces but that may end up being more of a hassle and ill bet a lot of the interior parts wont fit . when this is al lsaid and done , ill have some 95 4 runner parts to sell off.
