update, had the injectors plug up again so i parked it due to going to arizona for about 4 months. Came back and planned on fully cleaning the fuel system.
So i pulled the intake, then injectors and sure enough, all the injectors were pretty plugged but shot them with a bunch of brake cleaner and they looked good as new. Did the same for the fuel rail, inlet hardline and cleaned the fuel filter out with some fresh gas due to it only having like 200 miles on it since the last time i pulled the injectors.
Pulled the bed, and removed the fuel pump assembly and EVERYTHING WAS RUSTED! Apparently the truck sat for a couple years with fuel in it when one of the previous owners had it. Also the suction screen on the fuel pump was basically non existent so i bought one of those. Drained all the red rusty fuel out, pressure washed the entire tank and dried it, got it all reassembled and fired it up, truck now runs like a champ!
So all in all this repair cost only $17.00 this time but i wish i would have just done this in the first place. Everything else i had already (brake cleaner and what not) Grand total over the year is around $400 for new injectors, fuel filter, CTS, thermostat.
Now I need to track down a W56 transmission so i can replace mine due to 1st, 3rd and 5th gear having a bearing noise, 3rd syncros and 4th syncros are almost non existent and it will pop out 1st when you let off the throttle.
But ill get to that some other time because i want to get started on my 87 toyota to get that back on the road.

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/se...yword=red-kote should be about 30$ and gets rid of the issue.

i thought about doing it but with the marine grade liner but due to being unemployed and on a very very tight budget it wasnt too large of a concern to me. later on down the road ill do it but until then i should be fine. would rather do it when its a bit warmer anyways.

yeah it was pretty funny finding the screen so degraded, the mesh was almost completely degraded so it was motstly just the plastic frame. if i get a chance ill put some pictures up of the whole ordeal.
But who knows how much longer ill even keep this truck, ive never been a big fan of 3rd gens and would really rather trade it off for a second gen truck or maybe a 4runner.

Same sentence? Your spark strength is unrelated to the injector wiring, you can "rent" a noid light tester kit from Oreillys/Autozone/Advanced Etc. to test the injectors firing.

to me my spark looked weak. first time dealing with fuel injected but i found my problem due to you guys and my truck was down 6 wks. had engine rebuilt and it was missing on 1-3 when i put it back in and finally i checked wiring and found on #1 injector it was like some one had pushed my wires back into the plug. had a theif hanging around for a couple days so. and no i didn,t know until i went to use my compressor and skil saw and they were gone.
