89 toyota sr5 ext. cab 4x4 long
I just traded my 86 yota 4x4 and a little boot to a 89 toyota ext cab 4x4. The new one I just bought the 89 is a v6. I have owned several yotas over the years 4x4s and 2x4s but I have never owned a v6 4x4. It is basically stock except it has new off road wheels and tires a navigation system back up camera and a few other fancy gigs. My question do you guys have any watch outs for the year model and make? If so what are they!!!

everyone's experience differs....
i can tell you that i've had my 90 v6 4WD 5SP MAN for the past 23 years. 200,000 miles on it. the only engine work—head gasket via toyota recall LONG time ago, 3 timing belts (and water pumps, pulley, seals since they were in there at the time), a radiator, there was rack/pinon(?) recall at some point, valve adjustments per schedule, set of spark plug wires, dist cap and rotor every 60k, and a alternator. that is it. so far. oh, original clutch but i did do the shifter seat this summer.
i would check with you local dealer and have them run the VIN, see if all the recall work was done.
