89 floors get hot--help!
I just bought my first Yota tonight. It's and 89 4x4 SR5 extra cab in nearly pristine condition. I drove it about 90 minutes on the highway on the way home and my feet started to get really hot. I'm not being a wimp, the floor boards seemed way too hot, even the stick shift got warm.
Any help? Maybe the catalytic converter is clogged? Any costs? I'm broke from buying it.
Thanks for the help.

I have heard about the shifter getting hot before, are all the boots on correctly?
If the cat was clogged you would probibly feel the lag and the truck would not want to rev high.
To check, unbolt the cat and start the truck, if it improves drasticly then you need a new cat.

you didnt have the floor heat on did ya? lol
and we are having a nation wide heat wave =p
Even if the fan is off and the controls are on the heat side of the temp control and the air vent selection is on floorboards you're feet will toast hehe
i dunno, long shot
the tranny will heat the bellhousing above it pretty warm (even in the middle of winter).
