89 4runner fuel in intake manifold

I have a 1989 4runner frame and engine (22-re, 5 Speed) with a 1985 pickup cab. The problem is that it well not run more then 5 seconds (and it sounds like it is running on 2 cylinders) then it dies and will not start at all. The 3rd and 4th spark plugs are soaked when i pulled them. So i went deeper and pulled the intake manifold the rear 2 pipes had pools of fuel in them. I tested the injectors and they all open when power is applied. Any ideas?

timing right?

Your fuel sounds okay, is your spark good?

could that cause so much excess fuel into the intake manifold?

Well if the timing was off the fuel would not get burned, it should get pumped out the exhaust though.. hmmm Perhaps one of the 22re guys will chime in soon

did you do a compression test ? after the previous owner changed the timing chain i had bent valves which caused no compression. mine did the same thing i gess no compession equels no vacume on the affected cylinders and it would pool up in intake
all i did was fix valves and it fixed problem igess burnt valves would cause same problem

I checked the fuel injectors and they all work properly. The valves is possible.
My buddy and i were thinking that if the valve spring for the exhaust valves on the rear 2 cylinders were broken it would create no compression in those cylinders which would result in the fuel pooling in the intake manifold. Ill pull the valve cover and see what the deal is then get back to you. thanks for the help.
