88 Turbo 4X4
The first thread I posted was about them darn cone washers ... HINT for the board ... a truck that has spent 20 years in Vermont makes the cone washers become one with the stud they're on ...
NOW .... It was said that the truck has a head gasket leak HOWEVER I searched it today and the oil appears to be comming from the lower left hand side of the motor at the turbo.
Anyone have any suggestions as to any thing that they may have run up against with this same problem?

The turbo has an oil feed and oil drain.
It also has internal seals that prevent oil from getting into your intake.
Clean it up, drive it, figure out where it's leaking from. Minor leaks at the compressor inlet are normal for turbos.

def an 87, no such thing as a turbo from factory in 88. however, some states will title a vehicle in the year it was sold, not so much the model year. could've been a leftover. whats the build date on the tag in the engine bay? (just out of curiosity)

it must have been a rare thing, because they did officially stop making them in 88 because that is when they replaced it with the newer 3.0L V6. so it might have been a rare thing to get a factory 88 turbo instead of a V6.
