88 4runner TCase leak?

Under this thing is covered in oil. Hard to see any oil on the output shaft at all-my thoughts are it’s slinging it off of it. It’s everywhere under it. Is anyone in agreement that I should start by pulling the shaft and changing the seal and bearing if needed? I’m a rookie here just seeing what everyone’s thoughts are here.

I think you ought to start by pressure washing, or otherwise thoroughly degreasing all oily parts,
and make an assessment of where the oil is actually coming from before attempting to repair anything.
The oil might well be coming from forward and higher up.

Not so sure about it being the output shaft. The oil spray pattern doesn’t seem right. Maybe, but I agree with Millball, clean it first.
