88 4runner swaped from 22re to 22r weber carb
i'm having alot of trouble getting my truck running. the original 22re was blown i had an extra 22r from my old pickup that i swapped in. everything is connected, i replaced the fuel pump, filter, distributor, distributor cap & rotor, wires plugs oil coolant. i cant get this thing started it will turn over and kind of fires up but idles kinda rough then dies right away. it almost seams like the distributor timing is off but i cant figure it out i spent 7 hrs yesterday adjusting things and replacing parts but cant get it to run...

Did you remove the pump in the fuel tank or did you leave it there. Do you have the manual pump hooked up correctly with a return line. Are you getting adequate fuel to the carb. Have you tried pouring fuel directly into the carb and starting it. Those could the problem.
Now timing.....
Have you had the distributor out. Have you checked it at TDC compression stroke to insure timing is correct on the chain. Have you removed distributor cap to see if the rotor button is pointing at 1 on the cap when at TDC. If all that checks out then its not timing.
Give me a list of what you have done and haven't done. This will give me somewhere to start.
