Installed new slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads. Unfortunately one of the calipers is siezed, so have to get new ones of those too.

OME Dakar’s were way too stiff, bouncy, and high (even not broken in), so I removed the 3rd leaf down - per instructions from ARB on another thread on here. Fingers crossed these are now perfect.

Torsion bars cranked to 1.5” of thread above the bolt in the front on both sides. OME Dakar with 3rd leaf removed in the rear. Sitting 0.75-1.0” higher in the Front Tire Top to Wheel Wheel Bottom. Should go a little higher in the front as the rear settles. And I can always crank down the front if it settles more.

Rear shackle angle looks about perfect now.

Brakes bled.

Done me for the night!

Photos with the lift and new tires, please.
The 4r looks perfectly leveled, rear and front.
What did you do to the rims (or the PO)? Are they polished?
Underneath looks very good, do you know what the PO used to paint it?

Thanks everyone!

It goes to get painted on Monday and will be out of the garage for 4-weeks. Once it's done, I'll swap the tires from the 29s to the 32s.

The rims are OEM original from what I know. They are in amazing condition - I assume they're original, but the PO probably polished them quite a bit?

No rust or issues underneath. It's just the standard, clean undercarriage with a flat black Rustoleum sprayed on key areas to looking good and keep it rust free. I do this with all of my vehicles.

I've been watching too! Looks like a solid platform for the build. I also really enjoy the color you chose.

Final trim pieces removed. A lot of Ziploc baggies!

Only items I couldn’t remove were the windshield wipers (stuck even after 24-hrs of PB Blaster) and the window seals (I think i’ll break them if I pull them out).

Ready to drive to the paint shop on Min!

The 4Runner is at the paint shop and ready for transformation. I really hope the Brown metallic comes out great. I won’t have many updates for the next few weeks while we wait for it to be complete.

I was thinking the same thing! The truck looks great already!

I think the new brown metallic will look great! I don't see too many that color and I really like it!
