87 turbo 4runner speedometer
Anybody have any information on how to calibrate the digital speedometer... I'm off about 5 mile an hour

You presumably have a geared sensor, rather than a cable right? Short of re-gearing the sensor at the tail-housing... I doubt it. This site has some stock tiny gears for sale...
https://khkgears2.net/catalog5/ I would give Marlin Crawler or LC Engineering a call, those guys have seen it all. They may know of a way. I'm sure by now someone has cracked open an ECM on these trucks. |
Some here have used this device to re-calibrate their electric (non-cable) speedometers when changing tire size, no idea if it would work with a digital speedo?

Thanks I'll call MC and LCE

It might be possible to alter the digital dash, but the odometer is still going to be off since it uses a speedometer cable from transmission to dash.
You have to switch the gear on the cable at a minimum. .. Speedometer isn't off five miles per hour, it's off X% unless it says five sitting still. A bit of a peeve of mine but I digress.. You are allowed somewhere between five and ten percent in the DOT regulations iirc. |

The gears driving the speedometer don't just wear down. Something is causing this. |

WHY is it off? Do you have over(under)-sized tires?
