87 pickup starting problem

Just drove a few miles and she was fine, parked and wouldn't start back up.

Battery is fully charged, replaced the starter, battery connections are clean and
tight, replaced the grounding wire, replaced the starter relays, and still won't
turn over or even click. Lights and radio turn on.

I have a hopeful hunch its something I'm missing that is small and simple, as
the truck has been running great up until now.

anyone?

Ignition switch?
try jumping starting it...
i know you said the battery is fully charged, but try jumping it... report the results

Is it an automatic or manual?

If it's manual, could be a bad clutch pedal ignition lock switch.

Tried jumping it, and no luck

It's an automatic

not what i was thinking it might be then ..

I'd start by taking the covers off the steering column and see if you have power at the switch... then leaving the switch...
others on the forum with electric savvy will chime in and help you test with a multimeter... where and what to test for... good luck

Yes it is small and simple. Toyota parts are bullet-proof. Those parts you replaced are most likely good. That's why problem remained after you replaced them. The problem is in the wiring, maybe a fuse.

An not even a click of the circuit opening relay behind glovebox?

Toyota wired that truck and mine WRONG AT THE FACTORY, so After you verify voltages above and you ONLY get a click read this: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post52297396

Look at schematic below, and break out your multi-meter (pls see signature).
With good battery connected you should have 12V at A and B and C and AM1 and AM2.
Then you should get 12V at ACC, AT IG1, ST1, IG2, D, E, when you have Ign switch in respective position.
Let us know what you find.

When you turn the key do you hear a small whirring sound while you have the key in the start position? If you do that's the fuel pump and I'd place a good chance on the fact that your neutral safety switch failed.
The same happened to me, but you can jump the neutral safety at the expense of your reverse lights

Bad/excessively long wiring and absence of starter relay FROM FACTORY and possibly bad/dirty NSS.
