Do a google search for carpet for your 4Runner, I bought a complete new carpet set for my 86 4Runner about a year and a half a go and it looks nice.

Not from Toyota you didn't. They are not the same parts, and not the same quality level.

Those panels looked pretty good, may have to do that to the "army green" panels in the back of my pickup, anyone know why the rear panels would be "army green" when everything else is gray? Oh and the back of those green panels is grey.

Luckily we barely get any sun here, so our interiors stay in decent condition.

I love this! I have the gray interior too and it looks like crap! Going to do this on all the pieces! Thank you.

Do you think this would work on the canopy? Mine is getting faded, but matches the peeling clearcoat.

Now just have to figure out the subscribe thing....

This looks good. My brother and I are making panels from scratch for my '87 Runner. We are using paneling from Lowes, vinyl from a fabric store, and foam from Wal-Mart. He is fabricating the rear panels out of 16 gauge mild steel with lockable storage compartments. I'll post pics when its done.

I used the SEM in dark smoke. It was a perfect match on my 86.5 supra. I had some left over and It was a great match on my 90 truck also. Pics taken in different lighting so color looks off but matched great.
before being cleaned

after being cleaned

after dying them

ToyotaPManager: Saw your transformation on the pix thread. Great job. What is SEM and more importantly, where do you purchase it?

but my truck is red!

Great thread. Anyone do this on a red 4Runner yet? I don't want to be the first and have mismatched colors. If you have done it in red, got a part # for the color?

I did this to some trim in my 89 4Runner with the red interior as well.

Let me see if I can find the paint color/PN when I get home.

I have just done some of mine. I had Oriellys to mix up some interior paint and they put it in aerosol can for me. If you go to my build, post # 384, it is paint code 3P1. I am quite happy with how it turned out.

I used DeathCougars paint steps with the red paint and when I put vinyl/plastic protectant restorer on some of the other panels, you would never know that my replacement was gray at one time.

Guess what I am trying to say with a plastic/vinyl wax and repainted panels, I cant tell the difference.

DeathCougar, I would be intrested in seeing the color you used for red. This was a great write up you orginally did.
