87 runner 22re new with 1500 miles 5sp tranny...

problems:

will run great 85% of the time, then when left at idle, it will just cut out and die, almost like its not getting fuel. Wont start without a little gas pedal after it dies

under load/while driving it will sputter and jerk and then just come out of it and run great. Lots of cabon at the tail pipe (running rich yes?) Smell of fuel when it dies....

Things checked or swapped:
plugs
cap
rotor
dist
wires
tps
coil
ignitor
coil pick up
injecters serviced and check out good
fuel filter
fuel pump 1.5 years old
o2 (denso)
afm
no cracks in intake tube
no apparent vacum leaks

things checking tonight:
ecu
gonna pull fuel pump and inspect
egr? (excluded at idle and wot) but problem still exist at idol and wot

Im sure ive missed something as im pretty flustered at the moment...any ideas of check this or that are greatly appreciated

ps havent checked coolant temp sensor, but this problem exsits at running temp as well, does that rule out the coolant temp sensor or can problems still arise with these when at themp?

turns out the ecu went bad....swapped with a known working one and it runs sooooo good!!!!

Looking for ecu, part number- 89661-35070, if anyone has one please let me know, and how much
