86 rear driveline

Busy got the rear axle under my 86 standard cab shortbed and the driveline is about 5 inches to long what would the issue be? Is a 89 standard can shortbed driveline the same as the second gen one?

If I were you I'd make sure front drive shaft will work with that height prior to changing rear.

did the springs get changed along with the axle? i'm wondering if the axle got moved forward... you could try measuring the wheelbase.

you are going to go with what you got, so that probably doesn't matter, just get the driveshaft shortened and balanced.

is the rear axle rotated up? you'll probably need a dual cardan joint in the rear driveshaft.

IDK, never used skyjacker. But being 5" long when should be a little short. Call manufacturers tech support.
