I recently purchased an 86 22R. I have never had a truck before let alone a toyota. I know the basics of how an engine works but am no mechanic....yet(hopefully)

The engine has just been rebuilt about 7k on it. It was a long block rebuild which includes block, heads, crank, pistons valve train and timing components.

Hopefully the carb just needs to be tweaked, I read this http://www.bluebassdesign.com/boonin/carb_faq/#is and am thinking about tweaking it but would like some input before i do any tinkering plz.

There are notes on the smog that i think may be relevant

Found CO readings elevated at 4% adjusted carb to lean within specs at idle 2500 readings elevated running rich at 2.26% adjusted lean micture screw turned all the way in with on (no?) effect to carb, should stall motot or change idle speed won't may pass with new cat

then the cat was installed and it passed smog

idle emission test results were as follows

i know this is probably more info then i need but hey fook it

So when i start the engine it idles really low and if i feather it then stomp it it will roar like it should and then it will idle fine and not stall, but if i just touch the gas a little bit it will stall out
