5vz issues, any help?

Hello,

I have a 5vz swaped 91 pickup, and when I am driving, between gears, when I press the clutch pedal and have to change gears, the revs go to 0, why does it do that?, also when I turn it on I have to press the gas pedal a little bit in order to sart, otherwise it keeps crancking, and last, I noticed that randomly the engine looses power and I have to floor it, and then like it gains force again, weird right? FYI I cleaned the maf, the IAC and the throttle and I have not noticed any improvements. Could yo advise me or know the answers to my issues? I would like to supercharge it or turbo it, but in order to do that I need to get it to run as good as I can, so any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like you may have multiple things wrong.

First put us in front of your rig. We may be 1,000's of miles from you. Pictures of your engine compartment may help as well. Once again we cant see your rig so the more information you give us the easier it is to help.

So for starters list your rig.
Example:
85 4runner SR5
22re, engnbldr head w/268 cam, NWOR header w/high flow cat & 2 1/4" cat back. W56A trans w/marlin crawler 1,200 clutch. 4:10 gears 31x10.5 BFG Mall Terrains. Etc.

Who did the swap? If not you do you know the history of the engine and rig? Did you do anything routine, or otherwise, and then symptoms started?
It may seem like non related but sometimes when problem starts to get figured out random stuff is related.

I don't know that motor well but, I am about to learn it. I think I am going to end up rebuilding my wife's motor. The junkyard motor we just swapped has a bad bottom end knock. So looks like thats going back and I am going to just rebuild hers. :pop: :wrench:
