Ive got 90 4runner 4x4 automatic. On my way to havasu for the weekend got stuck in traffic and the A/T oil temp light came on and my engine temp was shooting up. Couldnt get over in time and it overheated. Got towed home and just got back from havasu today, went to start her up put it in drive and when i gas it it will barely move. Checked the trans fluid and it is a bit dark on the brown side. Hopefulley didnt kill the trans but any insight would be appreciated.

Bad news....the clutch discs on the trans are toast. Put the transfer case in 4 low. if it drives around good for a little bit then starts slipping then for sure worn out clutch discs.
